The Propress Pressing Pad is the perfect accessory for pressing collars, cuffs and other complicated areas of clothing and soft furnishings. It has a metalised heat resistant surface, and can easily be slipped over the hand. Simply place behind the area to be steamed and steam through the fabric onto the pad for perfect results.
VELVET BRUSH – USE & CARE
Yes. The Propress Velvet Brush can be used independently to groom velvet upholstery and furnishings. It is also useful after steaming to help realign the fabric pile and restore a more even appearance.
The brush is suitable for velvet with cotton, silk and man-made fibres. However, velvet fabrics can vary in construction and sensitivity. Always test the brush on a small, inconspicuous area first to check how the fabric responds before using it more widely.
Brush gently in the direction of the fabric pile. The angle of the brush controls the pressure: a shallower angle provides a lighter touch, while a steeper angle brings the bronze wire centre into greater contact with the fabric for firmer grooming.
Work gradually and avoid applying excessive pressure.
The outer bristles are made from natural Tampico plant fibres sourced from agave plants. The centre of the brush features phosphor bronze wire. Together, these materials allow you to vary the pressure applied to the fabric pile while grooming velvet.
The brush can help lift dry dirt and food debris from velvet and other suitable fabrics. Start by using the natural Tampico bristles around the outer edge. If more grooming is needed, gradually bring the phosphor bronze wire centre into contact with the fabric. Always test on an inconspicuous area first.
No special maintenance is required. Store the brush in its supplied cardboard box when not in use to help keep the bristles clean and protected.
